Hub International Acquires Employee Benefit Specialists
CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dec. 29, 2005–Hub International Limited
(NYSE:HBG – News; TSX:HBG – News) today announced the acquisition of the assets
of Employee Benefit Specialists, Inc. (EBS), a leading employee benefits brokerage
serving the state of Colorado. The acquired business, based in Denver, will become part
of Hub International Southwest (HUB Southwest), and integrated with HUB Southwest’s
Colorado employee benefits practice.

Employee Benefit Specialists is recognized as a leading provider of employee benefits

revenue in 2004. Alan Curtis, PhD, previously EBS chief executive officer, will lead the
benefits practice of HUB Southwest in Colorado and will join Hub International’s best
practices group for employee benefits.
